SFOA BOARD MEETING

May 1, 2006

Present:          Ken Lamb, Ed Bates, Ed Sullivan, Clancy Dixon, John Krentzman, Reggie Smith and Sharon Dunaway-Alt .  Late arrival Wally DeVries

Called to order at 6:15 PM

Ed Sullivan – Presented proposed 2006 budget.  JK motion to accept proposed 2006 budget.  SD second.  Passed.

Ken Lamb – General meetings we will have members print and sign their names on piece of paper at all meetings in lieu of using sergeant at arms.

Ken Lamb - Nominations to fill secretary position to be taken at the 5/1 General Membership meeting.

Ken Lamb - Travel fee checks from 2005 Playoffs prepared and signed.  Ed Sullivan to mail them out.  Issue with Tim Wojdan’s crew.  Entire travel fee had already been paid out to Tim Wojdan.  Randy Helms also drove to playoff game.  Will have to be addressed by individual crew.

Ed Sullivan - Officials Guidebook reviewed regarding playoffs and state clinic.  Clarified that in order to do play offs beyond district tiebreakers official must have attended state clinic within past four years.

Ed Bates requested verification that all contracts out to schools.  All have been sent.  Some have been signed and returned.  Several still outstanding.

John Krentzman – Need to review and discuss White Hat Committee Recommendations.  First point: How many games must the White Hat work as a the referee to retain crew.  Open discussion.  Minimum percentage of games not minimum number of games.  Sixty and seventy percent were numbers brought up.  Tabled for next meeting.
