SFOA BOARD MEETING

April 24, 2006

Present:           Ken Lamb, Sharon Dunaway-Alt, Ed Sullivan, Wally Devries, John Krentzman and Ed Bates

Absent:            Clancy Dixon and Reggie Smith

Called to order at 6:40 by Ken Lamb.

WD asked that the reading and approval of the minutes be tabled to the next meeting).

ES gave the treasurer’s report, he stated that about $4,648.00 was in the checking account.

Committee reports were as follows: Evaluation no report at this time.  Assignment committee: no report at this time. Recommendations committee: no report at this time. Grievance committee: no report at this time. Education/Training: new training at 7PM, at Clearwater High School.  Whitehat committee: WD reported that the committee had responded to the questions, and past on to the board its recommendations.  The board then decide to announce the new crews, with Jim Gracey being the new referee on the newest crew. Robin Peters is the other new referee.  SD will notify all the referee’s by email for this up and coming year, she will also ask that they supply all their crew members by the May 1^st meeting.  The board said it will be reviewing the policies of our association.

Unfinished business:

The status on the Official’s Alliance was nothing new at this time. 

SD, ES and Gail Blanton reported on several ideas that were being worked on.

New business:

Nominations for secretary will need to be added for the next membership meeting.

ES will check with Lakewood Ranch on their decision (contract).

Meeting adjourned 8:22 PM. Next meeting 5/01/06 at 6:00 PM, Clearwater High School.
