Present: Kenny Lamb, Joe Magadino, John Krentzman, Dick Redmond, Ed Sullivan, Steve Patterson, Guy Spiros, Reggie Smith

Meeting held at 6:00PM at Ed Sullivans office

Adding additional schools was discussed. The following schools were discussed and the current status of each is as follows:

Manatee H. S. – Gail contacted the school A.D. and head football coach. The coach said they would probably stay with last years officiating association (Gulf Coast). The main problem the coach had with SFOA was that on some occasions less than a full crew of officials worked their sub-varsity games. No further contact is planned.

Palmetto HS-Ed Sullivan has not been able to contact the A.D. or football coach. Ed is to continue trying.

Bradenton Prep-Kenny Lamb states that SFOA should send a contract to this school as they have indicated that they would like to use SFOA officials.

Bradenton Christian-Kenny Lamb states that SFOA should send a contract to this school as they have indicated that they would like to use SFOA officials.

Bayshore H S will be contacted to determine if there is an interest in using SFOA officials.

Sending out contracts for the 2007 season was discussed. Kenny Lamb is to obtain copies of 2006 contracts from 2006 SFOA Secretary and John Krentzman will update these as necessary.

John Krentzman will prepare a letter to be sent to Southeast H.S. regarding the “missed game”. Kenny Lamb will sign this letter and send it along with the $4500.00 check provided by Ed Sullivan to Southeast.

The SFOA Board voted unanimously to increase the travel pay to $10.00 for all 2007 high school games.

The end of year banquet will be on Friday, November 30, 2007. Ed Sullivan will reserve the large banquet room at East Bay Golf Club.

Contracts for PYFC and SYFC youth football were discussed. Two year contracts will be sent with the following fee schedule:

            8 minute quarter games: $35.00

            9 or 10 min quarter games: $40.00

            All clocks: $20.00

PYFC Flag football games will be officiated using high school (NIRSA) rules. Game fees will be $20.00 for field officials and $15.00 for a clock operator.

Having scrimmages between high school teams such as were held during the 2006 SFOA Field Clinic were discussed. The Board decided it was an excellent training tool and would like to again hold these scrimmages during spring football practice. Kenny Lamb will contact FHSAA to get permission to hold such scrimmages.

Ed Sullivan gave a treasurer report. Currently the SFOA bank account is $3256.52.

Kenny Lamb again requested that as many Board members as possible plan to attend the upcoming FHSAA Officials Presidents meeting. The Orlando meeting dates are 6-1 and 6-2 2007.
