SFOA Board Meeting Minutes 7-9-2007 6:00PM
Present: Kenny Lamb, John Krentzman, Dick Redmond, Ed Sullivan, Steve Patterson, Guy Spiros, Reggie Smith
Absent: Joe Magadino
Special meeting was held at Ed Sullivans office to discuss the youth football contracts for PYFC and SYFC. It was proposed to offer a modified contract to these youth organizations since they were unhappy with the original SFOA proposed contracts. The modified proposed 3 year contract will have the following game fees:
GAMES FEES-2007
Four (4) officials: $40.00- each for 9 or 10 min quarter games
$30.00- each for 7 or 8 min quarters game
One (1) clock operator: $20.00 per game
One (1) booking fee: $ 1.00 per game
GAMES FEES-2008
Four (4) officials: $40.00- each for 9 or 10 min quarter games
$35.00- each for 7 or 8 min quarters game
One (1) clock operator: $20.00 per game
One (1) booking fee: $ 1.00 per game
GAMES FEES-2009
Four (4) officials: $45.00- each for 9 or 10 min quarter games
$35.00- each for 7 or 8 min quarters game
One (1) clock operator: $20.00 per game
One (1) booking fee: $ 1.00 per game
PYFC flag game fee are proposed at $20 per game for 3 officials and $15 clock operator for all three years
In addition, if there is a SFOA no-show official, the PYFC or SYFC conference will be given a 1 game official fee which will be subtracted from their booking fee.
These changes were voted on by the Board and passed by a 5-2 margin. This new contract will be voted on by the SFOA general membership at the 7-16-07 meeting. If accepted by the membership the contracts will be presented to PYFC and SYFC. They have already verbally stated that they will accept the new contract.
The varsity game draft was briefly discussed and the following rules are still in effect.
1. No crew will select the same school more than 2 times during the season. This will be limited to once at home and once away.
2. No crew can select a school in back-to-back games.
3. All FHSAA rules regarding school employment, relatives at a school, graduation time limits. etc., are in effect.
The Board officially agreed by unanimous vote to add a 13th crew with Bill Simpson as the referee.
