SFOA 5/12/08 Board Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Ed Bates, David Barber, Dick Redmond, Ed Sullivan, Steve Patterson, Randy Helms, Gail Blanton, Ray Glen

Missing: Guy Spiros

Meeting called to order at 6:00 PM.

Final preparations for the May 16 & 17, 2008 Field Clinic were presented by David Barber, SFOA V. P. All details for this clinic are thought to be covered. David was complemented for his efforts by the entire SFOA Board.

The final field Clinic discussion was determining how many shirts to order for the attendees of the clinic. They will be as follows:

10 medium, 20 large, 70 xl, 30 xxl, and 20 xxxl

The 2008 proposed budget was presented by Ed Sullivan, SFOA Treasurer. It was accepted as presented except for evaluation funding which was increased to $1000.00.

The SFOA Board voted unanimously to have Ed Bates, SFOA President, to be added to the SFOA check signing list. He is to go to the Bank of America branch and accomplish this.

SFOA Committee reports were requested which were as follows:

Grievance: No grievances have been received

Evaluation: No activity

Assignment: No activity

Recommendation: Dick Redmond reported that a committee chairman has been selected and 4 additional persons have been added. A questionnaire is being prepared asking SFOA members to state desires in a updated playoff procedure.

Contracts with high schools were discussed. There are still 6 schools that have not returned their signed contracts for the 2008 season.

The SFOA Board meeting was adjourned at 7:05 PM.
